How to Use

Gently clean and revitalize your delicates every time:

Step 1. Add cool water and one squirt or 1 TBSP of Delicate Wash Detergent to your sink or washtub. 

Step 2. Swish the water and add your delicates. Gently squeeze them to work the Delicate Wash Detergent deeply into the material.

Step 3. Rinse the garments with cool water until the water runs clear.

Step 4. Place your delicate items on a clean towel, and roll it up like a sausage, squeezing tightly (don’t wring or twist) to remove excess water. This is especially important for heavy delicates, such as sweaters and wool items. 

Step 5. Allow your delicates to air dry on a drying rack, making sure to position each item into its natural shape. 

PRO TIP: To remove stains, apply a small amount of Delicate Wash Detergent directly over the stain. Use your Laundry Brush to work the detergent deep into the fabric. Rinse and repeat if necessary, then launder as usual.

What delicates are best washed with our Delicate Wash Detergent? All of them! This wash is perfect for washing the trickiest garments, from vintage lace to mohair sweaters. 

Here are our tips on how to wash the most common delicates:

Fine Knit Natural Fibers: Wool, cashmere, and mohair require extra care to keep them luxurious and gorgeous. Always hand wash using a delicate detergent like this one and never use the dryer. Keep sweaters looking brand new with our Sweater Pumice or Cashmere Comb. These tools will remove pilling and pet hair. 

Bras and Lingerie: We recommend hand washing bras and lingerie whenever possible — even your sports bras! But, if you do choose to launder in the washing machine, always use a Mesh Laundry Bag to protect these delicate garments. Launder on cool, using Delicate Wash Detergent, and allow to air dry. Never place lingerie in a dryer!

Lace Items: Lace items should be hand-washed when possible using a delicate detergent. To renew white lace, add one scoop of Oxygen Whitener to a tub or sink filled with warm water and allow the item to soak for an hour or two. Rinse until the water runs clear and air dry. Always avoid putting lace items in the dryer as they may easily get snagged. 

Synthetics (Spandex & Rayon): Fill a tub or bowl with cool water and add a small squirt of Delicate Wash. Swish your items through the water and allow them to soak for a little while before rinsing clean. Air dry in a location where they won’t run any risk of being snagged. 

Vintage Garments: Always hand wash using a gentle detergent like our Delicate Wash Detergent. These fabrics are aged and sensitive! Avoid the dryer and instead choose a drying rack.
